CONCORDIA, Kan. — The Cloud County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 20, 2025, approved a series of routine but consequential actions including a Solid Waste Disposal Interlocal agreement with Republic County, a right-of-way permit for seismic recording equipment and several personnel and financial items.
On a motion by Commissioner Ron Copple, seconded by Commissioner Dannie Kearn, the board unanimously approved the Solid Waste Disposal Interlocal agreement with Republic County; Solid Waste Director Mike Hake told commissioners Republic County will begin hauling Cloud County’s waste on Feb. 1, 2025, and said a full-time position is available at the Recycling Center.
