The board accepted the resignation of Planning Commission member Ruth Jilka effective Oct. 16, 2024, and the resignation of Zoning Hearing Board member Kevin Hummert effective Nov. 1, 2024. The board appointed Richard Swartz as an alternate to the Planning Commission to complete a term expiring Dec. 31, 2027; the motion carried unanimously.
Treasurer Brian Marchuck presented the treasurer’s report and an open purchase order summary with a grand total of $174,030.84; the board approved payment of October bills and open purchase orders and then voted to allow certain bills (utilities and eligible vendors) to be paid electronically while retaining the approval process. Marchuck reported no findings in the Liquid Fuels Audit and the 2023 Independent Audit; pension‑audit updates were pending.
Township Engineer Mike Wood reported residents along Rt. 230 who have not begun required sewer connection work after a 30‑day notice; the board approved moving forward with issuing citations through the District Justice to enforce the connection requirement.
