Board approves $224,695 design contract for Conewago Creek Phase 4 using remaining grant funds

Londonderry Township supervisors approved a $224,695 fixed-fee proposal from LandStudies for design and engineering of Phase 4 of the Conewago Creek stream-restoration project.
Manager David Blechertas told the Board there is more than $1 million in remaining grant funding from Phases 1–3; the proposed work would extend the same stream restoration and sediment removal south to the Route 230 bridge. The Board selected LandStudies as the lowest-priced complete submittal and approved the contract with a motion by Anna Dale, seconded by Bart Shellenhamer. The motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the Board approved a fully grant-funded proposal from HRG for engineering services related to a DCNR C2P2 grant at Sunset Park at a cost not to exceed $10,000; Manager said the township received the grant for playground equipment and discussed grant requirements and use of public-works staff where appropriate.
