Board approves Sunset Golf Clubhouse contracts and related equipment purchases

Finance Director Brian Marchuck told the Board he has analyzed the golf course funding and said he is confident the three contract packages can be done without tapping township tax dollars. Manager David Blechertas said there would be no course closure during construction.
The Board authorized notice of intent to award, award and notice to proceed to the lowest responsible bidders, contingent on solicitor approval: Lauer Construction Services for the general construction contract at $399,348; Garden Spot Mechanical, Inc. for the mechanical contract at $284,000; and Lauer Construction Services for the electrical contract at $27,807. Each motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the Board approved purchases for the Sunset Clubhouse and course equipment: two Pitco fryers for $2,056.76 and a Greens Groomer with electric lift for $4,250, and it approved seasonal hires as submitted for clubhouse operations. Meeting minutes record the motions and unanimous approvals.
The minutes show township staff emphasized the projects are funded by the golf course and do not require general-fund tax dollars. No contract contingencies beyond solicitor approval were recorded in the minutes.
