Kirk Benge, health officer for TriCounty Health Department, presented the agency’s 2025 annual report to the Duchesne County Commission on March 9, 2026. The report included revenues and expenditures, population health overviews, the top three causes of death by age group, emergency preparedness, health-promotion efforts, environmental health and immunization activity.
Commissioners discussed a measles outbreak and the number of cases in the TriCounty area as Benge summarized the department’s surveillance and response posture. No formal county action was taken on public-health matters at the meeting; the presentation served as an informational briefing to the commission and the public.
