Londonderry Township Manager David Blechertas presented the board with a 40-page PowerPoint outlining the township’s draft 2025 budget at the Oct. 16 work session, covering General Fund tax revenue, the Capital Projects Fund, Liquid Fuels Fund, Golf Course Fund and insurance policies.
The presentation included a proposal from Rachel Fox of HUB International to provide MRM Trust services to the township. According to Fox, "the MRM trust is a nonprofit organization, and the Board is made up of municipal members from the State of Pennsylvania," and she reviewed the proposed services in detail.
The budget presentation was informational; no action was taken by the board on the 2025 draft budget during the meeting. The PowerPoint and the HUB International proposal were presented to the board for consideration at a future meeting or follow-up, but the minutes do not record a vote or a direction to staff to adopt or revise the draft.
The draft budget materials covered multiple funds and program areas that affect township operations and tax revenue planning, including the General Fund and budgeted capital projects; the minutes do not list proposed tax-rate changes or final line-item appropriations. The board did not authorize any expenditures or formal commitments related to the HUB International proposal at the session.
The board’s consideration of the draft budget and the HUB International presentation will likely inform later budget work sessions or the public budget hearing process; the minutes state only that ‘‘No action was taken by the Board regarding the 2025 Budget.’’
