The Londonderry Board of Supervisors adopted its PROS (parks, recreation and open space) plan and authorized advertising an RFP for a design consultant for Phase 4 of the Conewago Creek project during the Jan. 6 meeting.
MS4 Specialist Monique Dykman presented a map and discussed sediment accumulation in the Phase 4 area and the scope of work expected under the design consultant contract. The board approved both adoption of the PROS plan and issuance of the RFP; solicitor Jim Diamond said the legal review showed no issues.
Dykman described potential operations-and-maintenance requirements (an estimated five-year O&M agreement was discussed) and next steps in design and permitting. The RFP will solicit design proposals to restore creek function and address sediment. The board approved the motions unanimously.
