Londonderry supervisors approve laptop, road change order and cleaning contract

Londonderry Township supervisors on April 16 unanimously approved several routine purchases and project updates, including a new township laptop, a road change order and seasonal cleaning services for the township golf course.
The board voted unanimously to purchase and set up a laptop from Omega Systems for $1,805.09 on a motion by Anna Dale and second by Bart Shellenhamer. Township Manager David Blechertas described the equipment request and the board approved the procurement.
On public‑works business, the board approved a $12,112 change order to Construction Master Services, LLC for the Swatara Creek Road project to repair a trench near the Turnpike Bridge; Mr. Geyer moved the change order and Mr. Hershey seconded. The manager characterized the repair as necessary and protective of the road’s long‑term condition.
Treasurer Brian Marchuck presented invoices and open purchase orders for mid‑April; the board approved bills and open purchases on a motion by Bart Shellenhamer, seconded by Anna Dale. The board also approved Enviro Master for bi‑weekly deep cleaning of Sunset Golf restrooms for the 2025 season at a cost of $1,831 per the manager’s recommendation.
Other updates: HRG reported the survey for a superstructure on Zion and Gingrich Road is complete and preliminary permitting work is underway; staff noted unresolved inquiries from residents about public water and sewer connections. Manager Blechertas reported 200 tickets have been sold for the Blue Angels Air Show.
