Londonderry Township reorganizes leadership and confirms 2025 appointments

The Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors completed its 2025 re-organization Jan. 6, electing Ron Kopp as chair and confirming a slate of managerial, legal and technical appointments.
Temporary chair Ron Kopp was nominated and then elected chair by unanimous vote. The board also confirmed Mike Geyer as vice chair, secretary and treasurer; David Blechertas as township manager; Eckert Seamans (Jim Diamond, Esq.) as legal counsel; HRG (Mike Wood, P.E.) as engineers; and other standing appointments including the township’s depositories and CAPCOG delegates. The board set bond amounts of $750,000 for the chair, municipal manager and other authorized check signers.
Township Manager David Blechertas presented the full slate of appointments in a single motion; the board approved the motion unanimously. "The motion carried unanimously," the minutes record.
The re-organization also confirmed administrative assignments such as the right‑to‑know officers, fire marshal designation (State Police) and zoning assistants. Board members praised outgoing and continuing volunteers: the board presented certificates of recognition to Zoning Hearing Board members Kevin Hummert and Ed Kozicki.
The re-organization sets the administrative structure for 2025 and places the township’s legal, engineering and financial relationships on record heading into budget and capital work scheduled for the year.
