Monique Dykman, MS4 Environmental Department, presented a KOMPAN proposal to supply playground equipment, freight and installation under PA COSTARS contract #014‑E22‑281 for $77,643.10. Dykman said the two small playgrounds at Sunset Park are to be funded through a grant; the total project estimate is about $95,000, with the Township responsible for roughly one‑third of the cost. The Board approved the KOMPAN purchase unanimously.
Dykman also reported that the Township received no responses to the RFP for park site plans; JMT Engineering said it did not receive the packet initially but subsequently submitted a $28,800 proposal. The JMT scope calls for park analyses, two public meetings, public feedback, and design of improvements for Sunset and Braeburn parks to support future grant applications (DCNR and others).
The Board expressed consensus to proceed with the procurement and recommended moving forward with site‑plan development so the Township can strengthen grant applications. No timeline for construction was set at the meeting.
