Londonderry Township Manager David Blechertas told the Board on Nov. 3 that the township will advertise the proposed 2026 budget and make it available for public inspection from Nov. 4 through Dec. 1, 2025. The motion to advertise passed unanimously.
Blechertas said 2026 will be the township's 10th consecutive year without a tax increase for residents. He identified several planned capital projects: replacement of water meters for public water customers on River Road; replacement of the Gingrich Road bridge; intersection improvements at Brinser and Hickory Road; upgrades to Sunset Park including new picnic tables and swings; increased funding for the Volunteer Fire Department; assorted minor road projects; and the start of a major engineering project on Roush Road.
The board approved the advertisement motion after a brief discussion; Blechertas said the golf course will continue to operate without tax revenue from the public. The board’s action begins the formal public inspection period, during which residents may review the proposed budget at the Township Municipal Building during regular business hours.
Next steps: the advertised budget will be available for public review through Dec. 1 and any required public hearings or formal budget adoption will follow the township's established schedule.
