Londonderry Township sets Jan. 14 public hearing on developer'filed curative amendment over data center ordinance

Londonderry Township's Board of Supervisors on Dec. 1 set a public hearing for Jan. 14, 2026 to consider a developer'filed curative amendment concerning the township's data center ordinance.
Township Manager David Blechertas explained the hearing is required after the developer argued the current township ordinance does not provide for data centers and submitted its own proposed ordinance. Solicitor Jim Diamond said the developer's filing argues the absence of data center provisions in the existing ordinance and that the public will have the opportunity to comment at the hearing. The manager said the applicant granted a 30'day extension, allowing the hearing to be scheduled within the required time frame.
The board voted unanimously to hold the public hearing at the Londonderry Fire House on Jan. 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Members noted the scheduling requirement to hold the hearing by Jan. 21, 2026 and the applicant's extension.
The hearing will provide a formal opportunity for public comment on the developer'filed amendment; the board did not take further action on the ordinance at the Dec. 1 meeting.
