Londonderry Township adopts final 2026 budget, sets tax rates and approves accounting contracts

Londonderry Township officials on Dec. 1 adopted the township's final 2026 budget and approved a set of related fiscal contracts and resolutions.
Township Manager David Blechertas told the board that residents will not see a township tax increase in 2026 and that this marks the 10th consecutive year without an increase. On a motion moved by Bart Shellenhamer and seconded by Scott Merchlinski, the board adopted the 2026 budget unanimously.
The board also approved Resolution 2025-30, which sets the township'level tax rates for 2026. The motion to adopt the resolution carried unanimously.
In separate actions the board authorized a proposal from Hamilton and Musser to perform the township's 2025 independent audit at a cost of $18,200 and approved two contracts with Brown Plus: regular accounting services for 2026 at a cost of $217,350 to the General Fund and $129,000 to the Golf Course Fund, and annual auditing and reporting services for 2026 at a cost of $11,850. All motions passed unanimously.
The board also approved Resolution 2025-31, adopting the 2026 Fee Schedule effective Jan. 1, 2026, which the manager said includes minor updates for large'scale projects and golf course fees.
The board approved the budget and these fiscal contracts during the regular meeting; members did not record dissent on the motions.
