The Fulton County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a State Interconnectivity Grant of $230,699.51 on Dec. 30 to fund several 911‑related maintenance projects.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton and HR Administrator Mary Huston presented the grant request. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute the grant in the amount of $230,699.51 to be used toward SouthCentral Mountain CAD maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain CHE maintenance, SouthCentral Mountain ESInet maintenance, Fulton NG911 GIS maintenance, a SouthCentral Mountain battery upgrade, and Fulton ILEC maintenance projects. The motion carried with all commissioners voting in favor.
Commissioners also moved to hire Troy Wagaman for the position of per‑diem 911 dispatcher, effective pending required clearances. A brief Salary Board meeting at 9:48 a.m. established the dispatcher's salary. The minutes record that the board entered executive session at 10:01 a.m. for personnel matters and exited at 10:29 a.m.; no personnel actions beyond the recorded hire were detailed in the minutes.
