Fulton County commissioners approve Strawberry Festival lease and multiple contracts, purchases

Commissioner Randy H. Bunch, chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, and fellow commissioners Steven L. Wible and Hervey P. Hann approved a series of contracts, invoices and purchases at the Feb. 17, 2026 meeting.
The board approved a McConnell Park lease submitted by the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for the Strawberry Festival scheduled for June 11–13, 2026. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the lease; the motion carried with all commissioners voting in favor.
The board also approved a contract with CES Engineering, LLC for engineering services at the Warfordsburg Senior Center CDBG project, not to exceed $15,000. Commissioner Hann made the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve the contract.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to retroactively authorize Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives to sign a CDBG Exempt Status Determination and Mitigation Measures and Conditions Form; that motion was approved. The record shows the board entered and exited executive sessions earlier in the meeting for personnel and legal matters.
The board approved payment of an invoice from Wessel & Company for CFO services during January 2026 in the amount of $4,340 on a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible. Commissioners also approved payroll and accounts-payable disbursements: payroll dated Feb. 20, 2026 for $126,643.71 and accounts payable dated Feb. 17, 2026 for $115,002.69; the accounts-payable total included $87,536.62 from the General Fund and designated smaller amounts from other funds.
A proposed contract between Pressley Ridge and Fulton County for services for children was tabled on a motion by Commissioner Wible pending further information. The meeting adjourned at 11:22 a.m.
