Council signs state grant contract to begin Bluff Community Center playground project

The Bluff Town Council voted unanimously May 20 to sign a State of Utah contract from the Division of Outdoor Recreation to fund Phase 1 of a playground at the Bluff Community Center.
Collins told the council the Playground Committee will host its first meeting the following day. Britt Hornsby moved to sign the contract and Jennifer Davila seconded; Mayor Ann K. Leppanen, Linda Sosa, Luanne Hook, Davila and Hornsby voted in favor.
The contract language was included in the council packet; councilmembers did not request edits at the meeting. Staff will proceed with grant requirements and initial planning through the Playground Committee.
