Presenter (speaker 4) read a resolution proclaiming January as School Board Appreciation Month and thanked board members for volunteering their time. Chair (speaker 1) announced upcoming board meeting dates on Jan. 28 (regular), Feb. 11 (special) and Feb. 25 (regular). Committee member (speaker 5) also proposed a Ballard Heritage School visit on Jan. 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as a future calendar item.
After handling calendar and future items, Chair (speaker 1) announced the board would move into executive session “pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(d) to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations.” No final public action on labor negotiations was taken at this meeting; the public portion concluded when the board entered executive session.
