Commission approves $25,000 Assurance Software installation for probate office, $1,800 monthly maintenance

The Franklin County Commission approved acquiring Assurance Software for the county Probate Office at a Dec. 18 regular meeting. The proposal called for a $25,000 one‑time installation, training and data‑conversion fee and $1,800 per month in maintenance.
County Administrator Leah Mansell presented the proposal packet and the commission approved payment from the Probate Judge Index Fee Fund. Chairman Barry Moore noted Assurance is already used by the Revenue Commission office and said the systems should integrate to permit information sharing between offices.
The vendor proposal included three days of onsite training and a public search website and listed the system modules to be implemented. Commissioners voted unanimously among those present to approve the purchase and ongoing maintenance arrangement; county staff will complete installation and data conversion steps under the approved funding source.
