Franklin County Commission approves routine business, loan for dump trucks and several appointments

The commission unanimously approved 7 Cent Fund budget amendments and appointed Brente Jeffreys to the Board of Equalization as the commission’s nomination.
The commission also approved financing for highway equipment: members accepted the lowest responsible loan quote from Valley State Bank for $427,000 at 4.04% over five years to purchase dump trucks. The commission approved a recommendation letter from Balch and Bingham related to solid waste matters.
Separately, the commission voted to table hiring for a corrections officer/dispatcher in the sheriff’s office. The meeting adjourned after the listed business was completed.
