Medical services and facility maintenance: The commission approved the FY24 Southern Health Partners contract adjustment: a base annual fee of $234,840 (a 3% increase effective Oct. 1, 2023 under contract Section 7.3) and a per‑diem of $1.29 for inmate counts over 125. The board also authorized taking bids to replace 13 water‑heating units at the jail after Sheriff Oliver reported recurring failures in the tankless system; the sheriff was authorized to accept the lowest responsible bid after consultation with the commission.
