North Logan moves ahead with stormwater master plan study in FY2027 draft budget

On March 4 the council heard the Stormwater Department’s FY2027 draft budget. Ryan VanWeerd told the council the stormwater fund is an enterprise fund and described major budget elements, including a Stormwater Master Plan engineering study with Sunrise Engineering to provide detailed modeling of stormwater flows and future infrastructure needs and to support creation of stormwater impact fees for future development.
VanWeerd said maintenance funding will focus on smaller system repairs such as fixing sinking curbs, improving drainage box grades and installing leaf grates. The council received the draft; no appropriation was adopted at this meeting.
