Cheatham County commission accepts 2nd District resignation, sends vacancy to November ballot

The motion to accept Jarreau’s resignation was made by Commissioner Eugene O. Evans Sr. and seconded by Commissioner David Anderson; it passed by voice vote. Commissioners then moved (by Walter Weakley, seconded by Calton Blacker) to submit the vacancy to the Election Commission; the roll-call vote was 11–0 in favor.
