Cheatham County endorses amendments to Tennessee opioid-abatement plan, authorizes mayor to sign settlements

The resolution authorizes the county mayor to sign the amendments ("Exhibit A" in the minutes) and any formal agreements necessary to implement a unified allocation plan; it also authorizes signature on the Purdue Settlement documents and the Eight Manufacturer Settlements if Cheatham County is included. The item passed by roll call vote (11 yes, 0 no, 1 absent).
The action aligns the county with a statewide plan for distribution and use of opioid-settlement funds and gives the mayor authority to complete the county's participation in the negotiated settlements and related allocation agreements.
