The body approved the motion by roll-call vote, 12–0.
The petition opposing the rezoning was attached to the meeting packet, and the minutes note the parcel is in the county’s 5th voting district and not in a special flood‑hazard area. The denial preserves the parcel’s agricultural classification and for now prevents the developer’s proposal to allow R‑1 density (one home or doublewide per acre) on the 7.88‑acre tract referenced in public paperwork.
