Granville holds public hearing on three‑year water‑sale agreement with Alexandria

The Granville Village Council opened a public hearing on Ordinance 21‑2025 on Jan. 7, a proposal to authorize the village manager to execute a contract providing for the sale of water to the village of Alexandria.

Staff explained the proposed contract is an ordinance covering a three‑year term (rather than a one‑year resolution used previously) and that Granville generally has excess capacity. "We’re probably only about 50% capacity on the average throughout the year," a staff member said, and the village estimated roughly 1,000,000 gallons per day of available capacity to allocate.
