Chillicothe council adopts resolution authorizing auction of surplus municipal property

The clerk read the language on the third reading and cited Ohio Revised Code section 721.15 as the statutory basis for disposing of surplus municipal property by auction. The clerk called the roll and the resolution was adopted.
The council did not discuss specific parcels or the auction schedule at the meeting. Staff will follow the statutory process for identifying property for disposal and return to council with details as required.
