Rod Michaud, Highway/Weed Administrator, told the Cloud County Board of Commissioners on July 28 that county crews will begin sealing work the Tuesday after Labor Day and will cover approximately 28 miles across Union Road, Norway Road, Old 81 and Agenda Road. Michaud said the schedule and materials are in motion and crews are already transporting cover for the projects.
Michaud also reported that work on the Senator Ross Doyen Memorial Bridge (U.P. bridge replacement) is scheduled to begin Sept. 2, 2025. He noted he will attend upcoming Noxious Weed training next week; the board did not take separate action on the training item.
The board did not vote on project funding at the meeting. The presentation provided timing and project scope for residents and local stakeholders; any contract awards or budget amendments were not recorded in the July 28 minutes.
