Cloud County commissioners confirm appointment, proclaim Recovery Month and approve $257,133.77 in expenses

County Clerk Shella Thoman reported the termination of Dani Dice (Corrections), effective Sept. 5, 2025. The board reviewed the Budget Status and Fund Status reports as of Aug. 31, 2025 showing an ending cash balance of $14,490,053.74.
The board approved expenses totaling $257,133.77 across multiple funds (General Fund, Road & Bridge, Special Bridge, Solid Waste, County Health and others), approved abatements 2025-314 and 2025-315 with a net change and refund of $411.68, approved the Sept. 2, 2025 minutes as presented, and adjourned until Sept. 15, 2025.
What happens next: Routine administrative items will be reflected in the Clerks records; the board will reconvene Sept. 15, 2025.
