Cloud County: 190th Road to close Sept. 2 for Ross Doyen Memorial bridge work; drone training approved

Rod Michaud, Highway/Weed Administrator, told the Cloud County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 25 that crews are working to move a driveway to accommodate the Ross Doyen Memorial bridge. He said 190th Road between Trail and Highway 9 (U.P. Bridge) will be closed starting Tuesday, Sept. 2 and anticipated to remain closed through next summer while the project proceeds.
Michaud said the bridge on Wagon south of 100th is finished and will be reviewed this week before it is reopened. He also recommended sending two county employees for drone training to support road and bridge inspections; the Board agreed to the training request.
The closures and work are part of routine county bridge maintenance and replacement. Residents who use 190th Road should expect detours once work begins. The county did not provide a detour route in the meeting record. The Board is scheduled to meet next on Sept. 2, 2025.
