The Cloud County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the closeout of a Community Development Block Grant — Coronavirus (CDBG-CVR) small-business award and authorized the chairman to sign the final paperwork at its Aug. 18 meeting.
Carol Torkelson of the North Central Regional Planning Commission presented the closeout documents and the board opened a Final Performance hearing at 9:00 a.m. with no questions; the hearing closed at 9:30 a.m. According to the presentation, the total award was $141,642.00 and $106,543.45 was spent across four businesses (two in Glasco, one in Miltonvale and one in Clyde).
Commissioner Ron Copple moved to authorize the chairman to sign the grant closeout documents; Commissioner Dannie Kearn seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously in favor. The board’s action completes the local administrative closeout of the CDBG-CVR award for the listed businesses.
The county’s clerk file will hold the grant closeout paperwork; the board did not discuss further disbursement or follow-up monitoring at the meeting.
