County warned of KCAMP contribution increase; board approves payroll and routine items

The board received notice from KCAMP that member contributions are expected to increase by roughly 15% for 2026. County staff noted Cloud County’s 2025 KCAMP contribution was $235,908; commissioners did not set a final budget action at the June 23 meeting.
The board approved payroll expenses totaling $190,939.58 (General Fund $92,787.32; Road & Bridge $54,386.84; County Health $22,133.98; and other funds) and reported payroll deductions and benefits at $227,561.41, which are available in the clerk’s public records. The board also agreed to award the Kansas Gives Back Challenge winnings to the Cloud County Resource Center and unanimously approved proclaiming June 22–28 as Amateur Radio Week in Cloud County.
The meeting recessed from noon to 1 p.m. and later approved prior minutes before adjourning at 2:53 p.m.
