Cloud County health officials discuss switching Home Health software and seek user feedback

Cloud County Health Department leadership discussed a proposal to adopt MatrixCare for Home Health management and requested time to check with other users before moving forward.
Health Department Administrator Tonya Sulanka told the board MatrixCare is a collaborative patient-management system that would enhance data exchange among care providers and streamline workflows for nurses and CNAs; she said additional revenue would likely offset the program’s cost but asked staff to consult other users before a commitment. Sulanka also reported a LockIt estimate for eight desktops and two laptops totaling $19,831.94 to support operations.
Sulanka noted the department received a $3,456 Community Foundation grant and a $250 Concordia Lutheran Church Foundation grant to support the crisis pantry, and that staff will attend an immunization conference in Wichita on May 22. She also stated the Health Department is currently not taking Home Health admissions.
The board approved a short executive session to discuss Health Department non-elected personnel as recorded in the minutes; no formal hiring or policy decision was recorded publicly at this meeting.
