The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met Dec. 16, 2025, approved routine minutes and payables totaling $281,921.91, and carried several personnel and appointment actions. Commissioners Randy H. Bunch, Steven L. Wible and Hervey P. Hann were present and recorded unanimous votes on the listed items.
The board approved the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and the Dec. 9, 2025 Retirement Board minutes. It approved payables dated Dec. 16, 2025 totaling $281,921.91, including $214,588.09 from Fund 100 (General Fund), $46,105.21 from Fund 276 (Opioid Settlement Funds), $20,705.31 from Fund 238 (911) and smaller amounts across other funds.
Commissioners met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress and, on a motion by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann, voted to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025 and to advertise an "Enforcement Officer 1" position both internally and externally.
The board retroactively approved a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48 (motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible) and approved and executed a request submitted by the Sheriff's Department for inmate physician services at the Bedford County Correctional Facility (motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch).
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved and the board approved an appointment of Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term ending Dec. 31, 2027, and Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027.
The board also approved the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates to be advertised in the Fulton County Newspaper. A DCED Financial Monitoring interview listed at 11:30 a.m. was canceled by DCED; DCED asked to meet with SEDA COG and the Chief Clerk for the review instead. The board entered two brief executive sessions for personnel matters during the meeting and adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
