Fulton County commissioners adopt bylaws, reappoint officials and approve $229,387 in payables

Commissioner Bunch moved to adopt the 2026 Board of Commissioners By-Laws “pursuant to provisions found in the County Code” and citing the Act of August 9, 1955 (16 Purdon, Section 503 and 509 as amended); the motion passed unanimously. The bylaw adoption sets the Board's governance rules for 2026.
The commissioners approved a series of reappointments for 2026 intended to stagger terms and maintain continuity. Commissioner Wible moved to reappoint Eric Weisbrod (term to Jan. 1, 2029), Paul Johnston (term to Jan. 6, 2030) and Greg Henry (term to Jan. 5, 2031) to the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority. Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint county positions and vendors including Solicitor Jim Stein & DSS Law, Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives, Tax Claim Bureau Director Amy Bishop, Chief Assessor Melissa Gordon, Director of Veterans' Affairs Richard Newman, and county engineers Keller Engineers and CES Engineering; those motions were approved by all commissioners.
Commissioner Wible moved to reappoint Amy Bishop as Interim County Treasurer for 2026; the motion carried unanimously.
