Finally, Simmons presented five demolition awards for Yarberry Companies: 2023 Cedar St. $4,435; 703 Central Ave. $10,995; 2111 Halford St. $4,495; 223 W. 2nd St. $4,500; and 1219 W. 5th St. $6,400. The board voted to approve those awards as presented. The awards were described as low and responsive bids; the board did not discuss financing or timelines for demolition work at the meeting.
