Chairman Davis led the board through business on March 4 that included approval of a consent agenda, an executive session for personnel and confidential student matters, and two personnel actions taken after the closed session.
After the board recessed into executive session under general statutes to discuss personnel, confidential student information and attorney–client privilege, the board returned and approved a motion to accept the personnel requests that had been discussed in closed session. The chair called for a voice vote and "the motion carries," with no roll-call tallies recorded in the transcript.
Later, a motion was made and seconded to add two additional flex days for qualified staff to be taken between now and the end of the year. The meeting record identifies Miss Edwards as the mover and Mister Keenan as the seconder; the motion carried on a voice vote.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved a change to the agenda to insert a special recognition for Clean School awards and later approved a lengthy consent agenda that had been distributed in advance. The superintendent was absent and no superintendent report was given.
The board adjourned after taking the personnel votes. The transcript shows voice votes and the chair's announcements of motion carriers but does not record individual yes/no tallies or written roll-call votes.
