Fulton County commissioners adopt bylaws, reappoint officials and approve $229,387 in payables during Jan. 6 reorganizational meeting

On a motion by Commissioner Wible, the board reappointed Amy Bishop as Interim County Treasurer for 2026. The commissioners also designated committee and board assignments for the year, including representation on the Permanent Salary Board, Retirement Board, Assessment Appeals Board, Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission (SAPDC) committees, emergency management and various grant and advisory boards; the minutes list specific assignments by commissioner.
The board approved an RBA invoice for $7,957.31 and appointed Michael Beatty as chairman of the Farmland Agricultural Land Preservation Board for 2026; both motions were recorded as approved unanimously. The commissioners held separate reorganizational meetings for the Salary and Retirement Boards at 9 a.m., with separate minutes on file, and adjourned the session at 10:37 a.m.
