Meeting roundup: Roosevelt County Commission approves ICIP, juvenile housing IGA and several routine contracts

At its June meeting the Roosevelt County Commission approved the amended ICIP, adopted revised county fee resolution, approved an intergovernmental juvenile housing agreement with Dona Ana County, and approved several advertising and program contracts.
The Roosevelt County Commission completed a series of votes on routine county business during its meeting.
• Resolution 2025‑17: Commissioners adopted an update to county fees, including an increase to the marriage license fee and a $20 charge for a flash drive to provide electronic IPRA records; other language cleanup and a capped e‑check fee were noted.
• Juvenile housing IGA: The commission approved an intergovernmental agreement with Dona Ana County to provide housing for juvenile detainees for July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Staff said the juvenile rate increased and the contract remains in place as contingency capacity; commissioners approved the agreement by voice vote.
• Procurements and service contracts: The commission approved a set of advertising/lease agreements and prevention program contracts (items 8b–8g) as presented by staff, including a billboard agreement and an increased prevention contract from $20,000 to $25,000.
• Indigent health claims: The commission considered indigent health claims and voted to approve the recommended subset as presented by staff.
Each of the above items was moved and approved by voice vote; the meeting also recessed briefly for assessors’ vehicle deliveries and check processing and later adjourned.
