Finance Director Butch Watson presented the town’s year‑to‑date fiscal report through Nov. 30, 2025 at the Jan. 12 work session, reviewing both operating and project funds.
Watson reported General Fund revenues at $8,368,339.87 — 53.58% of a $15,617,164 budget — with Moore County real and personal property taxes at 78.29% of budget. Sales tax receipts through three months were reported at 26.76% of the annual budget. The Water & Sewer Fund showed revenues at 45.46% of budget; system development fees were reported at 74.95% of budget for that fund. Project funds showed mixed positions: the Old Aberdeen Elementary School fund had $276,658.38 expended of $450,000, while the New Library Project was reported approximately 92% expended.
Watson noted the FY 2024‑25 audit report will be presented at the next meeting and that the town’s fund balance increased year over year. The figures were provided as staff summary data and appear in the meeting packet; the board did not propose changes to tax or fee rates during the session.
The board accepted the report as presented.
