Iron Horse / Superfund area: Board members discussed reports that a concrete and asphalt company had expressed interest in property near Iron Horse; participants noted portions of the area were historically subject to EPA Superfund work and that environmental clearance from state agencies would be required for redevelopment.
Public safety recognition: A board member recounted a Friday incident in which local chiefs and officers apprehended suspects after a retail theft; the board praised officers’ efforts and noted coordination with regional law enforcement.
