County staff presented the annual fraud-risk assessment during the Aug. 4 Duchesne County Commission meeting and asked the commission to acknowledge the assessment for the independent audit and authorize its upload to the State Auditor’s transparency website.
The presenter (S5) said the assessment had a possible score of 395 and the county earned 375, indicating the county remains in good standing. The commission moved to approve the assessment as presented and authorized the chair to sign. The motion passed.
Commissioners also approved a slate of four volunteers for the county fair and library after a brief staff report (S4). In addition, the commission discussed last-minute packet adjustments related to the Derby payout and approved vouchers for Aug. 4, 2025; minutes and routine corrections were moved and approved.
What happens next: the chair will sign the fraud-risk assessment paperwork for the independent audit process and staff will implement the approved volunteer appointments and voucher payments.
