Planning Director Pam Grama presented a slate of reappointments and appointments the board approved Dec. 9, filling expiring terms and several vacancies across town advisory boards.
The board reappointed members to the Downtown Advisory Board (DAB), Planning Board, Board of Adjustments, Historic Preservation Commission, Appearance/Beautification committee and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission. Specific actions included reappointments and new appointments such as Raymond Lee and Dale Crompton to the Board of Adjustments, Alexis Taylor to the Historic Preservation Commission, and the reappointment of Janet Peel, Christine Bologna and Elise Goodwin to the Appearance/Beautification committee; the Parks & Recreation slate included reappointments and the appointment of Angelique Braxton.
Pam Grama (speaker S6) said board terms generally expire in January and staff sought to fill vacancies and stagger terms to preserve continuity. The motions to approve each listed appointment were taken as individual motions per the staff report and carried by voice votes.
What’s next: staff will follow up on remaining vacancies and will post application information when additional seats open.
Quote: "We feel very fortunate to have so many folks interested in serving the town," the planning director said.
