CloudCorp requests $58,000 for 2025 budget; board accepts CDBG environmental review records and approves intercounty environmental contract

CloudCorp Director Nicki Reed presented the organization’s 2025 funding request to the Cloud County Board of Commissioners on June 3, asking the county to continue a $58,000 contribution that includes $3,000 for the Small Business Development Center. The board said it will consider the request during preparation of the 2025 budget.
Deb Ohlde of North Central Regional Planning presented environmental review records required for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The board agreed to post the notice of intent to request release of funds on the County website rather than publish it in the newspaper, and the board noted the environmental review documents are available for public viewing in the County Clerk’s office.
Separately, the board approved, on a motion by Commissioner Cleveland and second by Commissioner Copple, the Chairman to sign a Contract for Governmental Services among Washington, Marshall, Clay, Cloud and Republic counties to coordinate environmental planning and the implementation of environmental programs.
The CloudCorp funding request was not approved or denied at the meeting; it was recorded for consideration in the 2025 budgeting process.
