Staff presented the recommendation on behalf of Michael Gleason and noted Miss Airy runs a nursery on Highway 211 and was recommended by the commission chair. "She was recommended to us by our appearance and beautification chairperson Janet Peel," staff said.
A commissioner moved and the board seconded the appointment; the motion carried unanimously and staff said they would notify Miss Airy of her appointment.
