Planning staff briefs board on construction progress across Bedford

Becky Hebert, Bedford’s planning director, briefed the Planning Board Aug. 11 on multiple active construction projects across town and recent development milestones.
Hebert highlighted that the Holistic Pet facility at 355 Route 101 is nearing completion and expected to receive a certificate of occupancy; she also reported a CO issued earlier this spring for a phase at 7 Commerce Drive and recent completions or expansions at Haig Farr and Bridal Horizons Preschool. Chase Bank opened at 67 South River Road and Market in Maine continues interior tenant fit‑ups, with Building F receiving a CO for Awaken Beauty and Medical Spa. Hebert noted the Genesis auto dealership project is experiencing some shared drainage‑system repairs that caused schedule delays.
She said staff will reschedule a site walk for the project at 308 South River Road and circulate alternative dates for the Planning Board’s September workshop. Members thanked staff for the update and noted the broad range of construction activity around town.
