The Bedford Planning Board on Sept. 8 granted a one‑year extension for Munson and Associates to finalize conditions of approval for the 62‑unit Bowman Gardens senior living project at 125 South River Road.
For the record, Eldon Munson of Munson and Associates said the request stems from the complexity of planning and financing associated with the project and the need for additional time to coordinate details. “We have a simple request that the approval of the site plan for Bowman Gardens be continued for another year,” Munson said.
Board members acknowledged the project’s complexity and the desire to see the development move to construction, but expressed patience with the permitting and financing timeline. Priscilla Malcolm recused herself from the discussion. A motion granting a one‑year extension — with all the conditions from the Oct. 7, 2024 planning board approval to remain in full effect — carried with the supporting votes recorded in the minutes.
The extension preserves the prior conditions of approval and gives the applicant another year to coordinate outstanding items before plan signature and any subsequent construction approvals.
