Chair Nackless told the Boca Raton Community Redevelopment Agency on May 29 that the Circuit on‑demand shuttle service will launch in downtown Boca next month and provide first‑mile/last‑mile connectivity to the Brightline station.
"Circuit transit is the new service. We'll assist connectivity by offering first mile, last mile mobility solutions within the downtown area and in the city for those arriving at the Brightline train station or traveling around downtown," Chair Nackless said, and directed listeners to download the Circuit app and visit downtownboca.org for details. She said the service will begin on June 17.
The chair also previewed a slate of summer cultural and community events: a teacher appreciation happy hour at Kapow on May 30; performances at the Funky Biscuit including EFX All Stars and The Long Run tribute to the Eagles; an 80th birthday tribute to Marvin Gaye at Meisner Park; a wine event at Gourmet File; and comedian Samuel J. Comro at the Studio at Meisner Park. The Boca Raton Museum of Art will present a summer film series on select Thursdays in June and July.
Chair Nackless encouraged residents to visit downtownboca.org and to use the My Boca mobile app for schedules and to report concerns. No public comments were received and no formal votes were taken on the transit announcement at the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 1:43 p.m.
