Phillips reported there have been "eight smoke checks and four false alarms" in the county and described an illegal fire in Fruitland that escaped containment. He said Engine 145 is assigned to the Deer Creek fire and Engine 156, along with Tabiona's fire chief, has been ordered to the Monroe fire for a 16-day assignment. The county continues to operate under a burn ban.
Phillips presented draft fire protection agreements for Tabiona, Myton, Roosevelt, Duchesne and Altamont, and said he will bring the agreements to the County Council of Governments meeting on July 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., for discussion with municipal leaders. The commission discussed additional changes needed to the agreements prior to that meeting.
