Finance staff (Speaker 7) presented the town’s November 2025 financial report at the Jan. 12 work session and described the general fund as being in "very good shape." The report listed year‑to‑date general fund revenue of $8,368,000 and expenditures of $6,647,000, leaving net income of $1,720,000 through November.
Staff provided collection and expenditure percentages: percent collected to date 53.58% and expenditures 42.57%. Line‑item highlights included real and personal property tax collections, motor vehicle tax revenues (reported at 39.32% in November and 48.6% as of the meeting), permit revenue progress, and sales tax receipts lagging by roughly three months. Utility franchise tax, power bill revenues and other enterprise fund numbers were also summarized. Staff reminded the board that many capital project funds are multiyear and that a more complete 11x17 packet will be provided at the next meeting.
Committee members asked clarifying questions about specific items, and staff said the auditor will present audit results at the next meeting. No formal action was required on the financial report.
