Residents press town to address Oracle Road safety, commuter transit and EV charging

On funding, Malini Sims confirmed that the town’s Sun Shuttle and dial‑a‑ride services are funded through the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA). Sims noted RTA renewal (referred to in the meeting as RTA Next) will be on the November ballot and said losing that funding would require the town to identify alternatives to maintain current shuttle services.
Staff will fold these transportation priorities into the draft policies and continue refining actions related to commuter routes, transit funding and safety.
